Interior Design for a Historic Villa on Lake Como

Within the rationalist architectural context of Villa Leoni, the interior design project was conceived to align with the owner's vision of transforming the villa into a luxury vacation rental.

The intervention focused on custom-designed furnishings that could seamless align with the villa’s pre-existing elements, while also being adaptable for events where the interior setup may need to be temporarily removed. One of the solutions is the modular sofa, composed of versatile poufs that can be reconfigured to accommodate various rental and event layouts.

The basement level features a TV lounge, a wine cellar with a stove, a relaxation area, and a wellness zone complete with a sauna and hot tub.

Locally sourced Moltrasio stone walls were left exposed and parquet flooring with varying plank sizes was installed. The ceiling design incorporates hidden, diffused lighting, creating an ambient glow.
