Swimming pool with lake view for a historic villa on Lake Como

This project involved the creation of an underground swimming pool within the park of Villa Leoni, a rationalist building and Cultural Heritage site on Lake Como.

To accommodate the pool and sunbathing area, the land was carefully reshaped into a terraced platform.

Designed in accordance with the golden ratio, echoing the proportional principles of the overall complex design, the rectangular pool is clad in a liner that mirrors the colors of the lake. A jacuzzi area is thoughtfully integrated into the pool. Positioned to offer stunning views of Lake Como, the pool is also strategically shielded from the road, ensuring privacy for its users.

The poolside area, clad in locally sourced Moltrasio stone, extends to a dedicated bbq zone, complete with shading elements and an integrated lighting system.
