A lakeside guesthouse on Lake Como

This project involved the renovation of a guesthouse within the park of a historic villa on Lake Como.

Given the site's historical and artistic significance, the intervention prioritized respect for the pre-existing structure, maintaining its original layout and key decorative elements. The stone fireplace, staircase, and characteristic green-framed windows remained intact.

The interior design embraces minimalism, where white walls and resin floors create an understated backdrop.

The ground floor opens with an entrance leading into a kitchen, complete with a dining table, and a guest bathroom.

Upstairs, a spacious living is connected, with a continuous circular pathway, to a small sleeping area with the master bedroom and en-suite bathroom. This pathway is defined by a system of custom-designed pivot doors which ensure privacy whenever the living room is used as a second bedroom.
