Vacation Home on Lake Como

The project involved the renovation of an apartment for a Swedish family looking for a second home on Lake Como.

The ambience is contemporary and light-filled, with large white surfaces contrasting with bold blue hues and the warmth of walnuts finishes in the furniture and paneling.

The kitchen was opened to create a spacious open-plan layout with an industrial-style glass partition to delineate it from the entrance, while preserving a visual connection.

A structural column positioned away from the kitchen’s perimeter was transformed into a functional design feature, housing built-in appliances and a custom-made wine rack.

The bathrooms covered in resin, boast two different mosaics: a blue hexagonal floor in the en-suite one and a Carrara marble wall mosaic in the guest bathroom.

The furnishings are in keeping with the antiques and works of art of the owners, from their travels around the world.
