Restyling of a One-Bedroom Apartment in Milan

A selection of new finishes and the design of custom furnishings transformed this 50 sqm apartment, while keeping costs and renovation time to a minimum.

The owner’s need was to update the apartment’s style and functionality ahead of putting it on the rental market. The focus was on selecting materials and furnishings that enhance both functionality and aesthetic appeal.

The high ceilings were used to incorporate a lofted sleeping area above the living room. The texture of its exposed structure reinterprets in a modern key the decorations of the bathroom and kitchen glass doors.

The interior palette plays on contrast, with neutral tones in the new finishes and furnishings set against vibrant color accents, infusing the space with personality while harmonizing with the apartment’s existing 19th-century parquet flooring.
