A children’s bedroom mezzanine in a historic Como apartment

The mezzanine designed for this children’s bedroom takes advantage of the generous ceiling height of this home, located within the city walls, to arrange the children’s beds on two levels, leaving ample space below for play.

A wooden storage platform forms the first step of the staircase, which is entirely made of metal and protected by a custom-designed metal railing, finished in the same color as the mezzanine structure.

The mezzanine floor, clad in parquet, is further divided into two levels: one dedicated to the bed and the other to the desk and study area.

Everything is framed by the home’s historic ceiling with exposed wooden coffers.
